— SHOT Clubhouse —
A 6-year national grant programme giving grassroots sport organisations free access to SHOT Clubhouse — normally £5.99/member/month. We’re backing 72 organisations across 6 regions with the tools to develop athletes, run organisations, and evidence impact. Every Athlete. Every Sport.
Coaches run sessions every week with nothing but a whistle, a bag of bibs, and good intentions. They track attendance on scraps of paper. They guess at progress. They lose athletes they never saw struggling. Parents are left in the dark. Funders ask for evidence that doesn’t exist. And the organisations doing the hardest work in the hardest places get the least support.
We built SHOT Clubhouse to change that. And with The Power of Six, we’re putting it in the hands of the organisations that need it most — for free, for six years.
“We didn’t build PERFORM because the market needed another coaching app. We built it because we sat in sessions where brilliant coaches had no way to show what they were actually doing for young people. The data existed in their heads. We gave it a home.”

A real example: a boxing coach runs a stance and movement session. Here’s what happens inside SHOT Clubhouse.
Before Session
Athlete self-assessment
Technical — Stance & Guard
“How confident do you feel in your stance today?”
Confidence: 2/5
The athlete rates their own confidence before the session starts. No coaching input yet — just honest self-reflection.
After Session
Athlete reflection
Technical — Stance & Guard
“How confident do you feel now?”
Confidence: 4/5 — up from 2!
After the session, the athlete re-rates themselves. The confidence shift is tracked automatically — session by session, week by week.
Coach Review
Independent evaluation
Technical — Stance & Guard
Coach scores independently
Coach score: 3/5
Next Step
“Good improvement in guard position. Next session: work on weight distribution through the back foot.”
The coach adds their own score plus a written next step. Three perspectives. One development picture.
This three-stage cycle runs across all five PERFORM pillars: Technical, Physical, Psychological, Social, and Tactical — with confidence at the centre. Every sport, every session, every athlete.
“Confidence is the one thing every coach talks about but nobody measures. We made it measurable — not with a test, but with a conversation between athlete, session, and coach. That’s what PERFORM does.”
Mark Beard
Head Elite Coach, SHOT Clubhouse

Power of Six is delivered in partnership with Sported, the UK’s leading charity supporting community sport organisations. Sported works with over 3,000 grassroots groups across the UK, providing mentoring, resources, and connections to help them thrive.
Community organisations supported
National reach across all regions
Championing grassroots sport
Sported’s endorsement means Power of Six reaches the organisations that need it most — not just the ones with the loudest voices.
We actively prioritise organisations working with underserved communities, women and girls, disability sport, SEND provision, and athletes of all ages. If your organisation serves people that others overlook, you’re exactly who this programme is for.
Number of athletes, coach capacity, weekly session frequency
Female participation, underserved areas (IMD), neurodiversity/SEND inclusion
Brand trust, governing body recognition, multi-sport value
Weekly usage commitment, named champion, ability to mobilise parents and athletes
Feedback loops, visibility, and willingness to share learnings
Every grant organisation contributes to measurable social impact aligned to the UN SDGs.
Every session tracked builds an evidence base for the physical and mental health impact of grassroots sport.
PERFORM’s development framework mirrors educational best practice — structured learning, assessment, and progression.
Selection scoring prioritises female participation and women-led organisations.
IMD-weighted scoring ensures grants reach the most underserved communities first.
Cross-sector collaboration between SHOT, Sported, governing bodies, and grassroots organisations.
SHOT Clubhouse is a member of the United Nations Football for the Goals initiative — a programme leveraging the power and reach of football to advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
Yes, it’s genuinely free for the full 6 years. No hidden costs, no upselling, no credit card required. The “catch” is commitment: we expect you to use the platform weekly, engage with the onboarding pilot, and share feedback so we can keep improving. We’re investing in organisations that will use this properly — not collect a login and forget about it.
No. Power of Six is deliberately multi-sport. We support football, boxing, rugby union, rugby league, cricket, tennis, hockey, netball, golf, functional fitness, athletics, and more. Each sport gets a tailored PERFORM framework — not a football template forced onto other disciplines.
72 total — 12 per region across 6 UK regions (North, Midlands, East of England, London, South East, South West). Once a region is full, expressions of interest move to a waiting list. We review on a rolling basis, so earlier is better.
Full access to SHOT Clubhouse — that’s PERFORM (athlete development and evaluations), PULSE (culture and community tools), and LOCKER (content and media management). Up to 500 athlete licences and 66 coach licences per organisation. Every feature. No restrictions. For 6 years.
No. You can be a grassroots club, boxing gym, school, independent coaching setup, community interest company, NGB programme, or any UK-based organisation running sport. Charity status is not required.
After the 6-year grant term, organisations can continue on a standard subscription or apply for renewal based on impact and engagement data. The goal is that by then, you won’t want to go back to the old way of working.
The expression of interest takes less than 2 minutes. We review on a rolling basis and respond within 5 working days. If selected, you’ll start a 4-week onboarding pilot with your named delivery champion before full activation.
Absolutely. You don’t need 600 athletes to qualify. The licence allocation is an upper limit, not a minimum. If you have 30 athletes and 4 coaches, that’s fine. What matters is commitment to using the platform and developing your athletes.
No, but it helps. A governing body endorsement strengthens your application under the Credibility & Signal scoring criteria. We work with The FA, England Boxing, LTA, RFU, ECB, England Hockey, and others — but it’s not a requirement.
Your data belongs to your organisation. We use anonymised, aggregated data to measure programme-level impact and report to partners like Sported. Individual athlete data is never shared externally. Full data/privacy agreements are part of the onboarding process.
Submit the short expression of interest form below with your organisation details.
We score against our 100-point criteria. Governing body endorsement welcomed but not required.
4-week onboarding pilot with your named delivery champion to get your team set up.
Full 6-year grant access with monthly check-ins and ongoing support from SHOT.
Worth up to £258,768 per organisation over 6 years. Takes less than 2 minutes.
Your expression of interest has been received. We’ll review it and get back to you within 5 working days.

“This is not charity. It is infrastructure. We’re backing the organisations that are doing the real work — and asking for commitment, not gratitude.”
